The Best Ways to Manifest Your Dreams (and Actually Make Them Happen)

The Best Ways to Manifest

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spent hours scrolling through social media or diving into the latest self-help book, looking for the secret to manifesting your wildest dreams. Spoiler: there’s no one-size-fits-all formula. Manifestation is personal, and what works for one person might feel like a total flop for another. But the beauty is that you can mix and match methods until you find what clicks (as I share below!)

Over the years, I’ve tried a lot of manifestation techniques—some stuck, some didn’t, and some had me side-eyeing the whole process. But here’s what I’ve learned: manifestation is about aligning your energy, shifting your mindset, and taking intentional action. If you’re ready to give it a try, here are some of the best ways to manifest, with my personal take on each one.

Journaling (My #1 Go-To)

I have to start here because journaling has been life-changing for me. Not just any journaling, though — my intentional journaling method. This method involves a five-step process:

  1. Releasing: Dumping your fears, doubts, limiting beliefs and frustrations onto the page.
  2. Visualizing: A quick (we're talking 30-second) visualization to connect with your future self or manifestation.
  3. Gratitude: Writing down what you’re grateful for — present-day gratitude and gratitude as your future self.
  4. Feeling/Excitement: Focusing on something you're excited for or the feelings behind what you're calling in.
  5. Align: Deciding on one small micro action you can take in the next 24-hours towards your goals.

This practice helps me clear my head, shift my energy, and get crystal clear on what I want to call in. It’s simple, powerful, and so grounding.

The 369 Method

I’ll be honest—this one feels a little gimmicky, but some people swear by it. Here’s how it works:

  • Write your manifestation down **3 times** in the morning, **6 times** in the afternoon, and **9 times** at night.
  • Repeat for 33 or 45 days (depending on who you ask).

The idea is that repetition helps rewire your subconscious. I’ve tried it, and while I didn’t keep up with it long enough to see life-changing results, I loved how it kept my intentions front and center throughout the day.

Practicing Gratitude

Gratitude is like the secret sauce of manifestation. Why? Because when you’re grateful for what you have, you’re telling the universe, *“More of this, please!”* It shifts your energy, boosts your mood, and helps you focus on abundance instead of lack.

I like to keep this simple: every night, I write down three things I’m grateful for. On tougher days, I dig deep and remind myself that there’s always something to be thankful for—even if it’s just a good cup of coffee or my kids going to bed on time.

Visualizing

If you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hands. (Corny? Yes. But also true!) Visualization is all about tapping into the feeling of your manifestation (that's why I incorporate it in my journaling method).

Here’s my tip: close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and imagine your dream life. What does it look like? How do you feel? Who’s around you? Get specific and let yourself feel as if it’s already yours. Bonus points if you journal about it afterward to lock in the vibe.

Scripting

Scripting is like writing a love letter to your dream life. Instead of just visualizing, you put pen to paper and describe your life as if everything you want has already happened.

For example, “I’m so grateful for my dream home with its cozy kitchen, big backyard, and sunlit office. I feel so happy and at peace here.”

It’s fun, creative, and an amazing way to shift your energy. Plus, you can reread your scripts anytime you need a motivation boost.

Subliminals

Okay, this one is a little *woo-woo*, but hear me out. Subliminals are audio tracks designed to reprogram your subconscious mind with positive affirmations—kind of like a gentle brain hack.

I listen to these while I’m working or falling asleep. They’re subtle, so you might not notice immediate results, but over time, they can help you shift your mindset. Just make sure you’re using tracks from a trusted source!

Affirmations

You’ve probably heard this one before, but affirmations are the bread and butter of manifestation. The trick is to keep them specific, positive, and believeable for you (that's why many generic affirmations don't work for many people).

For example:

  • “I am worthy of success and abundance.”
  • “Money flows to me easily and effortlessly.”
  • “I am aligned with my highest self.”
Repeat them daily, out loud or in your head, and watch how your self-talk starts to shift.

Putting It All Together

The best way to manifest? Use a combination of these methods that feels good to you. Maybe you start your day with affirmations, do a quick visualization during lunch, and end your night with intentional journaling. The key is to stay consistent and trust the process.

And remember: manifestation isn’t just about daydreaming. It’s about aligning your energy, taking inspired action, and believing that what you want is already on its way. You’ve got this.

What’s your favorite manifestation technique? Let me know in the comments —I’m always up for trying something new!
